KRISHNA Heart and Super Specialty Institute

After an exhausting journey from the United States we were met at the Ahmedabad airport by Ramesh Parekh and the driver. From that time on, we entrusted ourselves to their care ( Remember, we had no idea what to expect ) as we neared the hospital in the early down hours ( 5:30am) after an amazing ride through Ahmedabad, we were scared . However Ramesh told us he did not want us to be uncomfortable. At the emergency entrance to the hospital my sister Lori's legs gave out, and the driver rushed to get her a chair, and Ramesh ran to get her a wheelchair; This is when I knew we were in good hands.

We slept in till 10:30am when we were awakened by attendants all day an array of doctors, physical therapists and attendants come in to greet us. On Monday we met the surgeon, who examined my sister & Dr. announced her fit for surgery the next day. She was thrilled because her knees have been causing her problems for 3 years. The rest of the day was filled with pre-operative, Every doctor, nurse, attendant, brother, sister, physical therapist, food arrive worker, EVERYONE we encounter was extremely cordial and kind to us. In my e-mail home I wrote: "The people here continue TO GO OUT OF THEIR WAY to help us. " you can imagine how comforting that was to our family on the other side of the world.

We are extremely pleased at the treatment we have received at Krishna Heart & Super Specialty Hospital I will comment on a few incidents.

After surgery my sister was in great deal of pain Dr. Mehta did his utmost to relieve it , He said it was his moral duty.
The food to me was delicious though my sister had trouble digesting Indian Food. The dietician made visit two / three times daily to attend to our needs.
About 10 days after surgery my sister experiences a horrible bout of diahrea, Jaideep Vishnav who was on night duty that night, was specially comforting and made the necessary calls to get the medicine she needed.
The Information Technology Center was open to us 6 days a week & we were able to email relatives and friends to inform themof my sister progress. They even allowed me to work on several projects of my own.
Every doctor visited my sister on a daily basis after surgery. This surprised us immensely since United States are a bit in personal.
